Spousal Support

Spousal support is also known as alimony, although spousal support is a more modern term. After a divorce, one spouse might be required to continue providing financial support for the other spouse. These payments are known as spousal support. Spousal support is different from child support, which refers to payments from one spouse to financially support children who may reside with the other spouse.
