Agent

by uslawessentials | Aug 11, 2019

An agent is someone who acts on behalf of another person (the principal).

For example, if Patrick tells Ally to buy art for him, Ally is Patrick’s agent.  If Ally signs a contract on behalf of Patrick to buy the art, Patrick is bound by the contract just as if he signed it himself.
